From the very earliest beginnings, the physical comfort of its guests was a theme very close to the heart of the Benedictine monks. According to the rules of St. Benedict himself, it is ordained that, "All strangers who come should be received as if they were Christ himself." And so pilgrims were treated.
Today visitors from all over the world enjoy the hearty beers and delicious Bavarian foods within the tradition-laden walls of the Andechs Bräustüberl.
In order to synchronize its hours with those of the monastic life on the Sacred Mountain, the Bräustüberl, as indeed all activities, adhere to a suitable schedule respecting the need for quiet and peace.
Bräustüberl Operating Hours: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. The Bräustüberl is always closed on 24. Dec., 25. Dec. 1. Jan. and on Good Friday.
